Library Home » Archives & Special Collections Microfilm CollectionsSpanish Texas Microfilm CollectionsThe Sons of the Republic of Texas established a collection of microfilm to promote study in the Spanish Colonial period of Texas, and placed this collection in curatorship at the UTSA Library Special Collections and Archives. The Bexar ArchivesThe Bexar Archives consist of the municipal records of Bexar between 1718 through 1836. There are one hundred and seventy-seven reels of microfilm. The Laredo ArchivesThe Laredo Archives consist of thirteen reels of microfilm and contain the municipal records of Laredo and the surrounding area between 1749 and 1845. Henry Raup Wagner Collection of Western AmericanaThere are six reels of microfilm containing information relating to Spanish Colonial Texas extracted from the Henry Raup Wagner Collection of Western Americana at Yale University. Permission to use information from this microfilm for publication must be obtained from Yale University. Simancas Archives, SpainOne reel of microfilm. It contains diplomatic information extracted from documents in the military archives in Simancas, Spain. The military information is directly related to Texas. National Archives, MadridOne reel of microfilm. It contains diplomatic documents relative to Texas. The information was extracted from documents at the National Archives in Madrid. None of the above microfilm has been cataloged. |
