Includes trade and industrial publications, journals issued by professional and technical societies, and specialized subject periodicals, as well as special issues such as buyers' guides, directories, and conference proceedings. Indexing coverage from 1993 to current; full text coverage from 1997 to current. Updated regularly.
Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals (UTSA subscription)
Indexes more than 2,000 US and foreign journals in architecture, historic preservation, archaeology, city planning, and interior design. Coverage includes articles back to the 1930s, with selective coverage dating back to the 1860s. Updated daily.
CSA Engineering Research Database (UTSA subscription)
covers the international serial and non-serial literature pertaining to civil, earthquake, environmental, mechanical, and transportation engineering including their complementary fields of forensic engineering, management and marketing of engineering services, engineering education, theoretical mechanics and dynamics, and mathematics/computation. Content includes basic and applied research, design, construction, technological and engineering aspects of air and water quality, environmental safety, energy production and developments in new technologies. Over 3,000 primary journals plus trade literature, patents, newspapers, press releases, conference proceedings, books and reports. Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management (UTSA subscription)
(via Cambridge Scientific Abstracts) A multidisciplinary database, including 12 subfiles, focusing on environment, ecology, energy, water resources, health and safety, pollution, hazardous waste, risk, bacteriology, and toxicology. Includes citations and abstracts, from 1981 to the present, from more than 4,000 scientific journals as well as books, conference proceedings, reports, and government documents.
Environmental Universe (UTSA subscription)
(via LexisNexis) Features access to a full complement of resources on environmental issues, including energy, air and water pollution, sustainable development and population, waste management, land use, biodiversity, global warming, and many others. Included in the database is access to Environment Abstracts, which indexes some 6,000 publications, many of which can be found in the Envirofiche microfiche collection (see UCAT, the UTSA Library online catalog, for more information on Envirofiche). Also included in this database are full-text news, journals, and reference materials on environmental topics; federal and state codes and regulations; federal and state case law and agency actions; and waste site data and hazardous materials information. Updated regularly.
ScienceDirect (UTSA subscription)
Provides full text/full image access to approximately 700 journals published by Elsevier Science. Indexes and abstracts articles from more than 1,100 journals in the life, physical, medical, technical, and social sciences. Full Image

Provides full text access to approximately 200 of the more than 400 journals published by Wiley, plus tables of contents and abstracts. Updated constantly. Full Image

Additionally, many records now include free links to the full-text publication on an agency's web site, or can be downloaded directly from the NTIS archival copy for a nominal charge.
