Searches

You may request to have staff search for an item that should be on the shelf but is not. Before requesting a search, please check the online catalog to make sure that the item is not checked out or at a special location. If the item is checked out, placing a hold or recall may be the better option.

• Any user may request the UTSA Library to search for an item which is neither on the shelf nor currently checked out.
• When the item is located, the requester is notified of the results of the search.
• Items from the general collection are held for the requester for seven days.
• If the item does not circulate, then the requester is notified but the item is not held.
